On Saturday, August 14, 2021, the museum marked the 100th birthday of author Alex Haley with a day of celebration honoring his life and legacy.
Born in 1921, Alex Haley gave the world Roots and The Autobiography of Malcolm X, inspiring generations to explore their heritage. We thank everyone who joined us to remember a native son of Henning, Tennessee.
